We’re looking for people to entertain us over food and drinks :) This isn’t an open mic, though we might host those, too. We’re thinking reading something you’re working on or an excerpt from a work you love, taking over the kitchen, a presentation on a special interest, an album about which you have something to say, a film you want to screen, a monologue that rings true, a manifesto, a one-act play, a performance. Experimentation, iteration, taboo, are welcome. We have a no-AI policy that extends to but is not limited to text, images, music, and video. Performers are welcome to request a phone-free environment to protect content and privacy. All expressions welcome.

Equipment we have on hand includes a PA system, a vinyl record player, a small kitchen, a projector with casting and streaming capability, a screen, and 2 microphones with stands. Performers will be invited to rehearse and sound check an hour prior to doors opening, unless additional rehearsal time was discussed ahead of time. Performance time is available to request on Saturday nights only between 7 and 11pm. Email monica@twofriendsbooks.com with any questions.

Accepted performers get free food and drink + 10% of sales from the evening. If there are multiple performers per evening, percentage will be split equally. Tip jars welcome.
